We are currently in an exciting growth phase and are seeking an experienced Naval Architect to join our award-winning Ship Design Solutions team.<br /><br />As a designer with us, you become part of an environment with over 50 years of history and a portfolio of over 1,000 vessels. We are leading the green shift at sea, and you will play a central role in the evolution of our renowned UT and NVC designs, with a particular focus on decarbonization and innovative technological solutions.<br /><br />
<h3>Key Responsibilities
</h3><p>As a Ship Designer, you will hold an autonomous and customer-oriented role. Your main tasks will include:<br /></p><ul><li><strong>Design Leadership:</strong> Acting as the design responsible for dedicated customer projects and R&D programs, managing supporting teams as required.<br /></li><li><strong>Technical Development:</strong> Taking primary responsibility for General Arrangements, vessel specifications, and performance documentation from initial customer meetings through to contract.<br /></li><li><strong>Strategic Collaboration:</strong> Engaging in dialogue with ship owners, yards, and classification societies to understand market trends and regulatory requirements.<br /></li><li><strong>Sales & Marketing Support: </strong>Contributing to bid/no-bid evaluations and supporting the sales force with technical expertise and tender documentation.<br /></li><li><strong>Innovation:</strong> Being a driving force in the technological evolution of our portfolio, specifically within offshore, navy, and unmanned vessels.</li></ul><h3>Your Profile
</h3><p>We are looking for a candidate who possesses a holistic understanding of ship structures and the ability to think across a diverse design portfolio.<br /></p><ul><li>Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or a related engineering field.<br /></li><li>Ideally <strong>5 years of relevant experience</strong> from a shipyard, classification society, or consultancy. <br /></li><li>Proficiency in <strong>AutoCAD</strong> is required. Interest in 3D tools (Revit), visualization (Rhino), or CFD (Star-CCM+) is a plus.<br /></li><li>Fluent in <strong>English</strong>, as this is our primary working language for projects and international collaboration.<br /></li></ul><p>This employment may require a pre-employment check procedure in accordance with company security standards, role or site requirements.
